Accor has appointed Andrew Shaw as development director for Accor Hotels in the UK & Ireland.
Shaw previously worked at property agent Knight Frank Hotels where he launched and managed a specialist hotels service covering central England and Wales.
Prior to this he was executive director of the M&S Pub Company, where he oversaw the group’s expansion.
Commenting on his new role at Accor, Shaw said: "Accor has a very focused development strategy for all our brands, with an emphasis on Etap, Ibis, Novotel and Mercure.
“The role of development director presents me with an excellent opportunity to be part of a very dynamic and driven hotel company with a clear strategy for the future development of its limited service Etap through to luxury Sofitel brands."
