InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) has requested that the Belgrade Commercial Court orders Internacional CG to stop using its brand name on a hotel in the city.
Internacional CG owns the hotel Beograd in the Serbian capital, which operated officially as an InterContinental as part of a management deal.
However, the contract that the company had with IHG, which allowed for the use of the InterContinental name, was terminated in July of this year.
Despite this, IHG claims the logo of its luxury hotel chain is still being used and that the Belgrade property owned by Internacional CG remains registered as the Intercontinental Hotel.
