Supperclub, the conceptual nightclub and restaurant group infamous for offering in-bed dining and cross-dressing waiters, is to open a venue in London next month.
Supperclub London, located in Notting Hill on the site of former nightclub Subterranea, will open its doors at the end of November, joining sites such as the original in Amsterdam, Istanbul and Los Angeles.
The brand is renowned for its avant garde, risqué and provocative elements, with music, art, live performances and DJs offered alongside food – which diners eat whilst sitting on beds.
Supperclub London will incorporate the 150-seat Bar Rouge and Salle Neige, the restaurant area, which will feature both oversized beds for dining as well as conventional tables and chairs. A third area, Bar Noir, will have a separate entrance with a guest list policy. Instead of an a la carte menu, Supperclub will offer a four-course tasting menu, priced at £50.
Bert van der Leden, owner of Supperclub, said: “London’s clubbing heritage and vibrant passion for art and fine dining, makes it a perfect Supperclub city.
“Londoners have long subscribed to our mantra – ‘if you just want to look you should go to the theatre, at Supperclub, you make the experience’.”
