Unilever Foodsolutions takes Gold Award at Excellence in Food and Drink Awards

Unilever Foodsolutions has taken the prestigious Gold Award in Caterer and Hotelkeeper's annual Excellence in Food & Drink Awards.

The company's Hellmann's Sesame Soy Vinaigrette was selected by the judging panel as this year's winner of winners from 18 categories, with its "convenient packaging and versatility" picked out for special praise.

Speaking at the event, hosted by London's Dorchester hotel on Park Lane last week, Caterer and Hotelkeeper editor Mark Lewis said: "For eight years now, our Food and Drink Awards have allowed us to showcase the very best products to come out of the UK's food development kitchens the hospitality industry owes you all a debt of thanks."

Category winners at the awards included Bas Armagnac (Armagnac Veuve Gouldoulin) in Alcoholic Drinks; Cherry Bakewell Sponge (Creative Foods) in Desserts and Puddings; and Hot Smoked Mackerel Fillet with Piri Piri (Brakes) in Fairtrade, Organic and Ethical Products.
