The Kaba Ilco E790

Launched just before Christmas, Kaba's Ilco E790 electronic door lock uses a contact-free technology that requires guests to simply present their keycard to the reader above the door handle to access their rooms without having to physically insert or swipe their card through the lock.

It comes with a standard mechanical key override for emergency access to the room and provides read-write technology that allows hotel security managers to track the movements of their staff by auditing their keycards. The system is supported by Kaba's FDU (front desk unit) or by the Web-based Atlas system.
