Oil-saving fryer and menu transfer upgrade from Enodis - Hotelympia

A fryer that uses less energy and oil and a USB version of Merrychef's MenuKey technology will be launched on the Enodis stands.

The Protector Fryer - the latest edition of the Frymaster range - uses SMART4U technology to save up to 50% on oil costs by extending oil life, allowing caterers to consider using healthier but dearer trans fat-free oil.

It has the same production capacity as a 50lb fryer but uses just 30lb of oil, thanks to the precise transfer of heat and an oil-attendant feature that monitors and replenishes oil levels as required from the jug-in-box inside the fryer.

The new USB version of the Merrychef MenuKey allows operators to download menu updates to multiple locations in seconds and to upload e-mail updates immediately without having to mail the key back to Merrychef for updating.

Also new from Merrychef is a new griddle pan accessory for its award-winning microwave-accelerated 402S convection oven.

Unlike rival models using a top- or bottom-launch energy system, the 402S's side-launch system allows the use of metal pans, which can provide a more authentic grilled finish to food.
