IEHO director cleared after investigation
CLIFTON Wade last week resumed his post of finance and information director with the Institution of Environmental Health Officers (IEHO), following the results of an independent inquiry into his involvement with a computer company.
The inquiry found no harm had been caused by his involvement with the company, which is contracted to do work for the IEHO.
But Terry Brunt, former IEHO chief executive, lost an appeal against his sacking, which followed a shortfall in uptake of food hygiene courses (Caterer, 3 March). Linda Allen remains as acting chief executive.

Ms Fletcher previously worked for the IHEI itself, and before that spent 10 years in management development with both Forte and Sheraton.
In her new role, she will initially compile a directory listing relevant publications, computer software and training materials, plus details of what has already been achieved by hoteliers.
