Caffè Nero proved it still hasn’t run out of steam by publishing its 36th consecutive quarter of positive like-for-like sales growth today.
The coffee chain reported 4.5% growth in the second half of its financial year despite what it called “particularly strong comparatives in the corresponding period last year”.
A statement said results for the year, ending today (31 May), “remain in line with expectations”.
Caffè Nero also confirmed its store opening programme is continuing on track with 262 stores now trading, exceeding its target of 260.
Preliminary results of the year will be published in September.
