STR Global: Scottish hotel performance in January 2008

Hotels in Scotland increased revenue per available room (revpar) by 3.9% during the month of January.

Revpar was £39.16 in January 2008, compared with £37.68 in the corresponding month of 2007, according to figures from hospitality research company STR Global.

Occupancy remained unchanged at 44.4%, so all the growth stemmed from the 3.9% rise in average room rate to £88.21, compared with £84.86 in January 2008.
