Four Red Tractor and RSPCA Freedom Foods-assured sausage varieties have been added to Brakes' frozen and chilled ranges.

The frozen newcomers are Cumberland, Pork and Leek, and Pork and Thyme varieties, made from pork shoulder and belly and with a minimum meat content of 85%.

The Cumberland sausages are infused with black pepper and sage as well as breadcrumbs, while the other bangers contain fresh herbs.

All three varieties come in packs of 30.

Fresh outdoor-reared pork sourced from Suffolk is used to make chilled Pork and Herb sausages, finished with fresh herbs, breadcrumbs and lemon and available in packs of 12.

Brakes has also introduced meal accompaniments, including an individually portioned Potato Gratin Dauphinoise, Monterey Jack Cheese Slices and Grana Padano Shavings.

The 120g portions of dauphinoise combine sliced potatoes with Emmental cheese, fresh cream, garlic and nutmeg and are available in 1.2kg packs. The pre-sliced Monterey Jack cheese packs are available in two packs of 50 with each pack weighing 500g. The Grana Padano shavings come in 500g packs of two.
