Broadening the appeal of ethnic cuisine to younger diners is the goal of the Authentic Food Company with its Kids Range.

Specifically formulated for children, the range consists of dishes from around India and provides a starter and two mains to choose from.

The Chicken Pakora starter contains marinated 100% chicken breast pieces coated in a medium-spiced batter. It is packed in 4 x 1kg bags with each bag containing 20 pieces of Pakora which can be oven-cooked from frozen in 10-15 minutes at 200¡C.

The Chicken Tikka Masala, which consists of chunky chicken in a rich creamy sauce with yogurt and aromatic spices, and the Chicken Korma, a mild and creamy coconut-flavoured sauce with chunks of chicken, are both packed in six-packs each weighing 200g and can be cooked by placing the pouch in boiling water and simmering for 12-15 minutes.

This range was formulated to enable kids to enjoy good-quality "grown-up" meals outside the home. All dishes are nut-free, low in salt and sugar, free from artificial colours and preservatives and can be heated only by grilling or oven-cooking, not frying.
