With the increased focus on healthy eating, Sharwoods has introduced lighter versions of its Korma and Tikka Masala sauces suitable for children.

The sauces are lower in fat, salt and sugar without compromising on taste, according to the company.

The rest of the ambient sauces range includes Jalfrezi, Balti, Madras and Rogan Josh - all containing no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and supplied in 2kg packs.

A range of pastes including Balti, Tandoori and Korma can be used as bases to dishes and contain pre-fried spices in 1.25kg containers. Also available is a selection of traditional accompaniments, from Puppodums and Lime Pickle to Mango Chutney with over 40% mango for a distinctive taste.

From its South East Asian menu, Sharwood's offers 10 ready-to-use sauces, a selection of rice and egg noodles plus cracker accompaniments.

The line-up includes Yellow Curry, Thai Red, Thai Green and the medium-spiced Malaysian Rendang with coconut, aromatic spices and cloves. Available in 2kg packs, the South East Asian range again contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
