Kid's desserts from Apetito

A range of desserts has been added to Apetito's portfolio of 36 main courses. Designed for children and meeting the Government's new nutrient-based standards for primary schools, the dessert range also enables caterers to keep menu planning within £2 per meal.

The range offers a "pick and mix" solution to enable school caterers to deliver an interesting and varied offering.

With a selection of five fillings and five toppings, children can choose from 57 desserts, including fruit salad, mixed fruit pie and apple pie. They contain no hydrogenated fats and are free from artificial colours, flavourings, preservatives and sweeteners.

The fillings and toppings come in separate foils, giving caterers the flexibility to create a combination of different desserts. There's a choice of toppings - for example: Crumble, Oaty Crunch and Chocolate Sponge and a range of fillings including Apple, Pear, Apricot and Peach and Mixed Fruit.

Desserts can be taken straight from the freezer and regenerated in any conventional oven or trolley
