IDL Engineering Services, a specialist catering equipment supplier that serves the off-shore oil and gas rig market, has opened a Rotherham office to meet growing demand as recession-hit Britons holiday in the UK this year.
John Thresh, IDL sales director, said: “With more Britons saying they will be taking a so-called ‘staycation’ this year, we’re anticipating the demand for our catering equipment here in the UK is only going to get bigger.”
The company is a specialist designer, supplier and installer of commercial catering equipment to customers in the hospitality, food equipment and food service sectors, both direct and through contractors
It is based at Fusion@Magna, one of South Yorkshire latest purpose-built business centres, on the site of the former Templeborough Rolling Mill – chosen after IDL supplied all the catering equipment for the neighbouring Magna Science Adventure Centre.
