London hotels boost revpar by 36%

London hotels boosted revenue per available room (revpar) by 36.3% in the week ending 27 August, according to figures from hotel benchmarking service The Bench.

Revpar climbed to £96.29, up from £70.62 during the equivalent week last year, which followed the bombings of the London transport system.

Occupancy increased by 18.3 percentage points to 83.4% and average room rate grew by 6.5% to £115.44, up from £108.42 in the corresponding week of 2005.
