Bridge House restaurant

Staffordshire restaurateurs Julian and Liz Ankins have bought the Bridge House restaurant in Kendal, Cumbria, which they have renamed Number One Bridge Street.

It occupies a Grade II-listed building dating back to 1819 which is near both Kendal town centre and the Miller Bridge. Kendal is known as the Gateway to the Lakes and is just nine miles from Windermere.

The business comprises a bar lounge with L-shaped servery, the 24-seat Red Dining Room and the 16-seat Green Dining Room.

The Manchester office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the leasehold off a guide price of £325,000 on behalf of Roger and Alena Pergl-Wilson, who are moving abroad.
