Ian Dixon of Cumberland Taverns has bought the Rembrandt restaurant in the Cumbrian village of Keswick.
Rembrandt is one of the longest-established eateries in the village and is conveniently placed on the fringe of the retail area near the village’s many guesthouses and B&Bs
The Victorian-style building made from local Lakeland stone houses a ground floor 70-seat restaurant with timber part-panelled walls and a one-bedroom manager’s flat.
The purchase also includes two separate two-bedroom flats that have been let on a self-catering holiday basis.
The Manchester office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the freehold off an asking price of £795,000 on behalf of Lake District hotels.
