Expressions of interest for the Provision of a catering service for the Beeche Visitor Centre
High elms country park.
The Council wishes to invite Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified and experienced companies for the opportunity to develop and operate a new catering service at Beeche Visitor Centre - High Elms Country Park.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a new facility, which is located within the proposed ‘DARWIN at Downe’ World Heritage Site. High Elms is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and is of significant historic interest as the land was previously owned by Sir John Lubbock.
The building is a single storey timber framed visitor centre with a green roof and straw bale walls, notably the largest straw bale building in the South East of England.
Initial expressions of interest are sought from potential operators by 16th November 2007, with a view to more detailed proposals being submitted to enable contract commencement date from the beginning of January 2008.
