Contract caterer Restaurants at Work has revealed plans for expansion after its parent company was publicly listed this week.

Bright Futures Group was listed on the PLUS market, which specialises in smaller companies not large enough for the FTSE or AIM markets.

Restaurants at Work, which employs around 200 staff, was established in 1995 and was bought by a management team including Tjalke Boersma, a founder of Wilson Storey Halliday, in 2005.

Clients include Abbey Road studios in London, Hewitt Associates, the NSPCC, Wyeth, the Bank of Nova Scotia and Dairy Crest.

Following the public listing, Boersma becomes the chief executive of Bright Futures and the chair of Restaurants at Work, which is based in Epsom, Surrey.

"The listing gives us the opportunity to restructure the company in the way we have wished to do since we first became involved," he said.

"We have established an excellent reputation in the industry and are now looking to add to our client base through both organic growth and acquisition."

The Restaurants at Work board will also include former senior Sodexo executives Wyn Roberts and Richard Muir.
