The owners of Italian restaurant Babbo in Mayfair are set to expand with the opening of a new venue in Soho in next month. Fornata, which will launch in early October, will be located on Kingly Street, off Carnaby Street, on the site previously occupied by Japanese restaurant Donzoko.

Art work from Damien Hirst is given pride of place at 45 Park Lane - the third hotel in the UK from the Dorchester Collection, which opened in London today. Also launching today is the hotel's American steak restaurant, CUT at 45 Park Lane, which marks Wolfgang Puck's first venture in Europe.

London cocktail bar Be At One is to open its largest site yet in the City of London next month. The company has secured a 300-cover site in Monument, which will be spread over two levels and is set to open in mid-October. Located on King William Street, the new bar will be Be At One's second site in the area.
