The Liverpool hoteliers association has announced Mike Dewey, general manager of Hard Days Night hotel, as its new chairman. Dewey has been with the four-star Beatles inspired hotel since it opened in February 2008 and has more than 16 years of experience as GM for several leading hotels around the UK.

Barceló Hotels and Resorts has promoted Peter Montague to regional director for the UK. He will now be responsible for all 21 properties in the UK, including the iconic Barceló the Lygon Arms hotel in Broadway. Peter was previously regional director for 10 of the group's properties in the UK.

Peter Montague has been promoted to regional director for the UK for Barceló Hotels and Resorts. He was previously joint regional director for 10 of the group's hotels, alongside Paul Harnedy, who is now leaving the company. In his new role, Montague will be responsible for all 21 hotels in the UK.
