This is W Hotels' first hotel in the Caribbean. Located on the island of Vieques, eight miles off the coast of Puerto Rico, it intends to offer a blend of peaceful paradise and adventure. The hotel, which has Alain Ducasse as executive chef, opened last month.

The Banyan Tree Al Wadi is the first luxury desert resort in the UAE to offer an all-pool villa concept. The property is a 45-minute drive from Dubai International Airport and 20km from the city centre of Ras Al Khaimah. The hotel opened on January 2010.
