Out-of-hours deliveries to hotels and restaurants in London are viable during the Olympics, a study by Transport for London (TfL) has shown. A number of businesses which are expected to be affected by the games trialled TfL's new draft Code of Practice and asked their suppliers to do the same.

London hotels may ride out the gloomy economic forecast, but 2012 is forecast to be another tough year for many properties outside the capital, according to accountancy firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC).

Oxfordshire-based pub company Brakspear has spent £500,000 on its London pubs in the past 18 months, ahead of the Olympics. Although the company is best known for its pubs around Henley-on-Thames, it has 25 pubs lying within the M25, including a handful in central London areas.

Cricket hospitality won't be affected by a six-week break for the London 2012 Games, according to official Olympic venue Lord's cricket ground. The "home of cricket" will be transformed into the home of archery for the Olympic and Paralympic Games next year.
But in response to speculation, Lord's has confirmed that it doesn't anticipate demand for cricket will be affected, citing an uplift of 10% pre-sale booking enquiries.

Wine merchant Jascots has announced it is to offer its customers a 24/7 delivery service throughout the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. With road closures, temporary games lanes and route changes during the events, Jascots plans to offer customers the option of receiving goods between 2am and 7am.
