Bovey Castle for sale for £17.5m

Bovey CastleBovey Castle, the 64-bedroom country house hotel within Dartmoor National Park, has been put on the market for £17.5m - nearly £10m less that its current owners paid for the property six years ago. Property investment company Delancey bought the hotel from Peter De Savary in 2006, for £26.4m.

Hotel Indigo to launch in Cardiff

Hotel IndigoHotel Indigo - the boutique brand from InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) - is to launch its first property in Wales. The 92-bedroom Hotel Indigo Queen Street Cardiff will become the fifth Hotel Indigo to be managed by Sanguine Hospitality.

Failure to provide good service to vegetarians and vegans could be costing the food service industry £1.8b, according to a new study by the Vegetarian Society. The survey results found that vegetarians accounted for nearly £2.5b-worth of food eaten outside of the home each year.

Peter Bush has been appointed as assistant general manager of the Arches hotel in Swansea after a brief spell in NHS management. Previous roles have included night general manager at the Maldron hotel, Cardiff, assistant general manager at the four-star Dales hotel in Upper Sheringham and front of house manager at Holiday Inn.

Commercial property specialist Jones Lang LaSalle has been appointed to exclusively market the hotel on behalf of holding firm St Ermin's Operating. Jones Lang LaSalle said it was advertising it with a guide price of £500,000 per room.

Strong results for London and regional hotels in April
