Robert Cook has been appointed as chief executive of De Vere Village to expand the group of 26 new-build hotels across the UK. In what appears to be a straight swap, Cook's former position as chief executive of the Malmaison and Hotel de Vin brands has gone to Gary Davis, formerly chief executive of De Vere Village.

Antonin Bonnet, executive chef at the Michelin-starred Greenhouse in London, is to leave the Mayfair restaurant to relocate to Paris. The French chef, who has been at the helm of the Marlon Abela Restaurant Corporation (MARC)-owned restaurant for six years, has teamed up with a "major international designer".

After 18 years' service, Caprice Holdings chief executive officer Des McDonald is leaving the company. In a statement the restaurant group said McDonald was leaving to pursue new challenges and that he wouldn't be replaced.

Dale Gill has taken over as head chef at the Legacy Woodhall spa hotel in Lincolnshire. He joins with 11 years of head chef experience, the last four of which were at the Bagden Hall hotel in Huddersfield. He aims to use as much fresh, local produce as possible and his first task is to create the Christmas menu.

Emma Powell, a chef-manager at Wilson Vale, has become the company's first female area manager, assuming responsibility for a portfolio of clients in the Midlands. A chef for the past 13 years, Powell joined the contract caterer as a relief chef manager in May 2010.

Diederik Buyze (pictured) and Cheryl Marner have joined Danesfield House as food and beverage manager and sales and marketing manager respectively. Buyze joins from Exclusive Hotels' Lainston House and will now work with Michelin-starred executive chef and UK Hotel Chef of the Year 2011, Adam Simmonds.
