Jamie Oliver is to open the first non-London branch of his new restaurant concept, Union Jacks, in Winchester in the summer. A restaurant in Cornwall has been forced to shut after a suspected arson attack. Fire crews from St Columb and St Denis were called to the blaze at Viners restaurant at Carvynick Farm, Summercourt, yesterday, the BBC reports. Kevin Viner (pictured), the restaurant's owner and chef, said he was "shocked".

A new restaurant is to open in London's West End next week, offering British food and wines. 52° North Bar & Kitchen, which is owned by Alula Leisure, will officially launch in Soho on 7 February.
