Gordon Ramsay Holdings has opened its first Canadian restaurant, under a licensing agreement, by taking over the running of Rotisserie Laurier BBQ, which has operated in Montreal since 1936. Ramsay, who acts as a consultant, aims to carry on the traditions of the original restaurant.

The Macdonald Inchyra Hotel & Spa has launched this new steak restaurant, which offers a menu focused on seasonal Scottish ingredients, including a variety of Scottish seafood, beef and lamb. Interiors echo the steak theme and feature cowhide wallpaper and pictures of cows on the walls.

This brasserie from Michelin-starred chef Martin Wishart and Paul Tamburrini has opened in Edinburgh's new town. It is an interpretation of the Parisian classic, where traditional French cuisine meets Scottish flavours. The interior has a relaxed continental feel with no tablecloths and stone flooring.
