Revpar at London hotels increased to £53.16, up from £46.76 in the equivalent week of 2008.

London continued to outperform the European market in November 2009, according to the monthly HotStats survey. Hotels in the UK capital achieved the highest occupancy (of 88.2%), the highest revenue per available room (€144.18) and the highest gross operating profit (or goppar) of €113.25.

Hoteliers should ‘take heart’ from strong occupancy levels recorded in London and Edinburgh, as the rest of the UK experienced difficult trading in the run-up to Christmas.
