Westfield Stratford City, the retail development next to the Olympic Park in east London, today opens its doors to the public. The £1.45b development is the largest urban shopping centre in Europe, featuring 300 shops and restaurants across 177,000sq m.

Upmarket caterer Searcys is celebrating £150m of new business as well as the sponsorship of Olympic hopeful Dai Greene. The four contracts - Blenheim Palace; the Royal College of General Practitioners; the Army and Navy Club and London Southend Airport - will all be operational in 2012.
