Education caterer Caterlink has retained its school meals contracts in Camden and Islington, after the London boroughs combined their catering services in an attempt to save more than £1m a year. The £7.5m contract will see Caterlink delivering 17,000 meals a day to more than 100 schools across the boroughs.

Charlton House has been awarded a second catering contract with consumer products group PZ Cussons, worth £100,000 in annual turnover. The contract at the company's Innovation Centre in Salford opened last month and sees Charlton House manage a breakfast, lunch and hospitality service.

Compass Group has awarded Brakes the UK's largest ever catering distribution contract. The landmark agreement, set to begin in 2012, will see the foodservice supplier deliver over £300m worth of goods to 5,500 Compass sites across the UK every year.

The Crown Group's Seasoned Events business has donated 2,000 Christmas lunches to Crisis, the national charity for single homeless people as part of a fundraising campaign at the Royal Courts of Justice. The campaign sees Seasoned Events donate £1 for every guest that attends a corporate Christmas party.
