Along with state-of-the-art sound-proofing and pure air conditioning, the hotels are marked by a detailed attention to orientation and natural lighting. As a result, all have alfresco terraces that face south or west to make the most of the light. The feature is most evident in the flagship hotel in Westminster where the top two floors of suites are enclosed by glass exterior walls and are topped by a two-storey glass atrium for private dining. The group is constantly refining its offer and has upgraded its first three City Cafés to bring them up to the standard of the newest restaurant in Westminster. A fifth, 284-bedroom hotel will open in Manchester’s Piccadilly Place this August as a step towards the group’s ambition of operating up to 11 hotels by the end of 2005. Orr is also looking to expand into Western Europe and the USA. |
