Sales Director - London - £45K

This international hotel group is looking for a sales director to further develop key accounts with various tour operators. This challenging position would suit a highly motivated sales manager with a proven track record in sourcing new business and producing sustainable increase in market share within the travel and tourism industry. The vacancy will be based in Hertfordshire, but the sales manager may be required to also travel to the rest of the UK and overseas. Job requirements for the sales manager are:

* To motivate, continuously monitor, and further train members of the sales team
* Take on large trade accounts, provide further support, and upselling to achieve revenue targets
* Manage and further develop the sales client database
* Further maintain customer relationships and customer requirement information, interests, and market activities up-to-date
* Review all accounts and take appropriate action to further sales revenue
* Agree new strategies and sales plans together with other senior managers
* To ensure company is represented at all trade shows and exhibitions

Skills required for the sales manager:

* Strong communicator and team player
* Able to use own initiative and make appropriate decisions
* Adapts quickly and positively to new situations
* Motivates and inspires other team members to higher levels of performance
* Managing time and resources effectively

Sales experience required:

* A proven successful track record in senior sales management
* Several years of sales and marketing experience in large corporate hotels
* Previous exposure dealing with international and national tour operators
* Working knowledge of up-to-date trends within the tourism and travel industry
