Novus Leisure buys Balls Brothers for £7.8m

Novus Leisure buys Balls Brothers for £7.8mBar and restaurant operator Novus Leisure has bought 17 Balls Brothers bars out of administration, including six which trade until the Lewis & Clarke brand for a total of £7.8m. Novus currently runs 38 venues in across the country including the Tiger Tiger brand and several bars in London's West End and City, including, Grace, Jewel and Bar Soho.

Brasserie Chez Gerard in Chiswick: on the Tragus menuCafe Rouge and Strada owner Tragus is understood to have made an offer for Paramount Restaurants, which runs rival chains Caffe Uno and Chez Gerard. Tragus is looking to buy the firm for less than £50m, as part of a sale auction by Christie & Co, according to the Sunday Times.

Food fuels 1.4% rise in like-for-like interim sales at Marston’s
