Last night this blogger was lucky in more ways that one. Firstly he was able to eat at FuLuShou, the Pan-Asian restaurant attached to The Casino at The Empire. Secondly I managed to turn £30 into £70 playing roulette in the casino before dinner!
The Casino at The Empire takes the same principles the great Las Vegas casinos do and applies them to London's Leicester Square on a slightly smaller scale. The gambling experience is not seedy, as it can be in some casinos, but open plan, accessible and with a genuine sense of excitement.
More importantly it integrates the gambling experience with fine hospitality....
The bar is exceptional. It has a vast choice, imaginative cocktails (the wassabatini - a martini made with wasabi - was exceptional) and knowledgeable bar staff who know how to make a Jack Daniels with ginger ale and lime with real class. Everybody in the bars and pubs trade may be focused on food but quality wet-retail can still entice customers.
Upstairs, away from the hub of the gaming floor, are the flame grill restaurant and the aforementioned FuLuShou. The Pan-Asian cuisine was relatively affordable for the hard-up gambler (£7-£8 for a main corse, £3.50 to £5 for an appetiser) and it is served in a restaurant designed with Feng Shou principles. The food was stacked with flavour too and served by waitresses in elegant traditional East Asian costumes.
In replicating the Las Vegas casino experience The Casino at The Empire comes exceedingly close. Some of this bloggers finest dining experiences have come in Las Vegas casinos. Its proximity to the West coast of the US leads to some of the finest Asian fusion food and top quality chefs are enticed by the vastness of the hotels and the high-rolling gamblers willing to pay top dollar for food.
Whether The Casino at The Empire can entice guests through the quality of its food and drinks service is open to debate. People will view the casino as a place to gamble first and foremost. But those who write off the dining experience because of the casino association will miss a trick.
Perhaps it is time for restaurants and hotels to start hedging their bets?

Like all other people, the game of roulette is gambling with chance. Your roulette strategy has the same odds of winning as you have if you toss a coin. Influence plays a small role within the situation. Each spin on the roulette wheel is independent from all other spins that are to be made. But this doesn't mean that you cannot gain an advantage whenever you play the game. Right here are some ways by which you can strengthen your roulette strategy.
