Here's a great idea, which like all the best ones is very simple.
While out on my travels recently I got talking to a chap called Ian Hooper, who is looking after the UK part of SeamlessWeb.
SeamlessWeb. What the heck is that, I hear you ask? Well it has its genesis in the States.
Two hard working, well paid city executive types were hungry one night and in a bind as the in-house caterers had gone home and they had work to do and rumbling tums. What to do?
Hang on? Why isn't there an easy way of finding and ordering in food from local restaurants with a service that sends us one easy to understand itemised monthly bill and handles payment? - they probably said.
Ha. We could do that ourselves! And they did, building a multi-million pound company that was acquired by contract caterer Aramark a little while back.
Active in central London at present - and a number of US cities - customers enter their postcode to receive a list of local restaurants and caterers, covering everything from pizza joints to fine-dining or even sandwiches. You can bring up a menu for each and order with payment handled by SeamlessWeb, so it's dead simple.
If you're in the restaurant or catering game it's surely worth a look (I believe the company uses a commission model for sales), as it could be another useful route to market for you.

Seamless web has truly changed the way I eat, to me time is money and as a result I'm often working late in the office. Gone are the days when the only option is a Pizza, thanks to the wide choice of restaurants offered by those guys at Seamlees Web.....thanks for bringing this to the UK!

Paul, interesting to hear from someone that's used this. I was certainly impressed and like the fact that it appears straightforward and easy to use. Now if I could just sell it to my publisher...
