With Team GB and most of the nation still in shock at our Olympic success, those kind people at the Sofitel London Heathrow have created a new cocktail to bring us back to our senses.
The Gold Rush is available now in the hotel's library bar at £13, just ahead of the predicted Olympic fervour of the winners' parade set for the 16 October in London.
The cocktail, served in a Martini glass and following on in spirit from the recent Pentathalon Pudding, comprises Goldschlager, Noilly Prat (!), and Chambord topped with Champagne and a glacier cherry to garnish.
So go for gold and order one at the bar to get you in the mood for 2012.
