Britain's top ten TV chefs

180px-TheGallopingGourmetVolume3%5B1%5D.jpgThe latest series of the BBC's Great British Menu ended over the weekend, with Sat Bains, Mark Hix and Richard Corrigan combining to create a four-course meal showcasing the best of British ingredients at a banquet at the British Ambassador's residence in Paris.

The success of the show - and the seismic news that Delia Smith is about to re-enter the fray with a new series - got me thinking about my favourite foodie shows on the box. Here they are, in no particular order. Agree? Disagree? Either way, let us know.

Great British Menu 2009: Check out who's cooking...

Glynn Purnell.jpg Caterer's food blog, Rhubard and Mustard, is taking a look at some of the competitors in this year's Great British Menu, which will hit our TV screen later this month.

Rhubarb and Mustard will be putting together a series of blogs looking at some the chefs that are battling out this year together with a top recipe.

First up is Brummie chef, Glynn Purnell. Glynn was the first to get full marks for his desert in the last series and sent GBM judge, Prue Leith, into orgasmic heaven with his Strawberries with tarragon and black pepper honeycomb with burnt English cream surprise.
