If you like bananas you'll love the Fairtrade Fortnight event Go Bananas! which encourages anyone and everyone in the UK to eat as many bananas as they can in a 24 hour period.
Running from noon on Friday 6 March until noon on Saturday 7 March, the campaign has attracted the interest of two top London hotels which plan to support the event.
Guests arriving at the Royal Lancaster Hotel on the Friday will be greeted by two monkeys handing out Fairtrade bananas and the hotel is also planning a Fairtrade Banana Afternoon Tea incorporating bananas into its menu.
Meanwhile Cavendish Hotel in St James's will be offering Fairtrade banana cocktails, smoothies, splits and bananas for guests at reception checking in and checking out.
The hotel's restaurant, David Britton at The Cavendish, will also have a special menu running for the duration of Fairtrade Fortnight (23 Feb-8 March) including a wide range of Fairtrade products.
