Job Title:Food and Beverage Manager

Responsible for:All food and beverage outlets
F&B HoD's
All F&B Team Members


Key Liaison:General Manager, Deputy General Manager, Financial Controller, Heads of Departments and HR

Scope and Purpose of Role:

To ensure the smooth day to day running of all Food and Beverage Hotel operations by effectively managing all employees under your control to constantly achieve and deliver brand product and service delivery standards, whilst achieving budgeted targets and unit objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
1.To create a customer focussed environment within the food and beverage departments which reflects full, flexible co-operation within the business to deliver customer requirements.

2.To attend internal and external business meetings e.g. Suppliers, business reviews and proactively develop guest and business relationships.

3.To monitor and control brand standards and operating procedures to ensure we are consistently delivering a high level of service that is valuable to our guests and differentiates us from our competitors

4.To create an environment promoting employee morale, encouraging the team to have pride in their workplace, coupled with a high level of commitment.

5.To maintain regular and effective communication within your team and at all levels by encouraging daily briefing sessions and attending hotel meetings when required.

6.To communicate the F&B product information, the targets and results to the whole hotel

7.To supervise and manage food and beverage rotas, ensuring an effective management presence is maintained at all times.

8.Through effective management of Restaurant and C & B managers, ensure that the labour resources effectively meet the service criteria set for the departments, encompassing recruitment, selection, training, supervision and encouraging multi-skilling of the workforce, within employment law guidelines.

9.To ensure all Restaurant and C & B departmental managers manage their operating costs, in line with budget/forecast requirements e.g. Payroll

10.To accompany liquor stock taker on a monthly basis ensuring all paperwork is prepared in advance, ensuring feedback is actioned upon

11.To promote employee training and development needs through encouragement, coaching and support. Ensuring own personal development needs are met. To undertake job chats, appraisals and 6 monthly reviews of all employees under your control when required, in line with HPH guidelines

12.To positively promote sales awareness within the Food and Beverage departments and maximise sales opportunities by marketing the F&B offering / Hotel / Group via raising the profile both internally and externally

13.To liaise with Human Resoucres to ensure statutory compliance

14.To liaise with Restaurant and C & B managers ensuring statutory compliance of all Health and Safety

Key skills required:

1. Must have high volume management experience.
2. Essential to have worked at 4/5 star standard with a good strong CV.
3. F&B managerial experience is a must.
4. Must have a good knowledge of London area
