The Thai Festival comes to Ealing Common this year on 12-13 June, bringing an authentic taste of South East Asian finery in association with the Thai Festival Organisation (TFO).

A perfect way to enjoy the British sunshine with all the family, with some quality fresh food and great entertainment before the evening’s excitement which sees the English team in our debut match of the World Cup against the USA!

Cooking Competition at The Thai Festival! Budding chefs can submit their Thai recipes to recipe@visitthaifestival.com by Sunday 6th June. The winning entries will be invited to the festival on Sunday 13th June where 6 people will compete in a cook off to win a night’s stay in a The Langham Hotel, a stunning 5 star hotel in central London! The runner’s up will receive a bottle of Champagne - An amazing competition not to be missed!

Stalls will be hosted by local Thai restaurants in greater London as well as national restaurant members of TFO, whose head chefs will be creating dishes inspired by years of commitment to only the very best recipes and freshest of ingredients. Hosts include Thai Tho, The Thai and Fat Boy, as well as Som Tam at Askew Road London.

We have five pairs of tickets to giveaway to the festival. All you need to do is reply to this thread and your name will be entered into the prize draw. Winners will be notified by Thursday 10 June.

Good luck!

It's amazing how Thai food has taken the country by storrm - though not surprising, given its big flavours.

The Malaysian tourism board is pushing Malaysian food hard at the moment. It seems they are keen to create the same buzz around it that there is around Thai food. Who knows, a few years from now we may have a malay restaurant serving nasi goreng and laksa on every british high street.

I've developed a particular interest in Thai food at the moment.  An IP analyst by day and a bubbling thai cook by night, I've been playing around with a lot of thai recipes. And I'm determined to make the perfect plate of pad kee mao. A trip to the festival to get some tips from experienced chefs would be awesome!
