I've just heard from the man himself that he is set to open his second restaurant.

Glynn will be taking over Pascal's in Edgbaston, which was formerly Jessica's, the restaurant where Glynn gained his first Michelin-star.

The new restaurant, called The Asquith, will have 34 covers and serve classic French food with a Purnell twist. He has described the new venture as a neighbourhood restaurant with ambition.

The head chef is still to be unveiled so watch this space!

More to come...

The Asquith is due to open on 1 October - with Jason Eaves installed as head chef. Jason previously worked as Glynn's chef de partie at Jessica's. Jason has also worked at Marcus Wareing, Midsummer House and Le Champignon Sauvage.
