I've heard that Gordon Ramsay is to lose an AA rosette at his Royal Hospital Road restaurant? Anyone else heard this?

No I hadn't heard that. I think the guidebook normally goes to press in May so it may have leaked.

And about time too, if you have a look at these pictures from the Staff canteen taken @ RHR last year

In particular the raw lamb dish : http://preview.tinyurl.com/yfga4hc

Just wondered if he's been given a heads up, like Michelin did when he lost a star at Claridges.

That lamb looked horrible. Did you eat it?

Fortunately it wasn't me, it was one of the chefs from the forum last year. This is why I cant understand how he kept 3 stars.

I've eaten at RHR 5 times, initally back in the day it was good, but with various other commitments standards have slipped & the finished product is now dulled compared to the new kids on the block. I now refuse to go.

Fresh news circulating that Royal Hospital Road has definitely lost a rosette and gone down to four. Also, rumours that it's been demoted to 8/10 in the Good Food Guide...

Ok, for those of you that can remember the Petrus incident I can just see that happening again.

The AA guide lacks teeth. Be interesting to see how '3Star chef' Clare Smyth responds
