I'm dying to know what everyone thinks of Heston's current TV ad and his new Waitrose product, Heston Blumenthal's Hidden Orange Christmas Pudding?

Apparently, the pudding, which costs £13.99, has flown off the shelves. Anyone had a chance to taste it yet? Or can you imagine what it would be like?

I saw the adv last night and I can't say I'm rushing out to buy the pud, surely the orange inside will make the pud start to taste bitter - this little figgy won't be on my Christmas table.

Idea seems to be taken from the orginal sussex pond pudding, which is a little aquired in taste for the original recipe is very nice.

I am going to make my own for my xmas table, love the idea of slow steamed orange permiating my pudding, will prob have to make a bog standard one for the wife, as she doesn't do deviation from xmas tradition too well.

You'll have to let us know how you get on (pictures please?!) - my Mum always makes ours and lucky for us it's pretty damn good!
