Is quality important when it comes to cost?

I happened to stumble upon an article that provided details of a new line of equipment that is coming at the end of the year.  This new updated/modern super fan oven claims to be the best yet, it improves the quality of a products heated inside the oven. As well as new features, design, materials. Etc…

So I was thinking, is it really worth spending money on machines that will improve the quality of products? In a climate were our government and our industries are cutting back on spending is improving quality such a big factor? Will companies out there still spend money on the oven regardless of the price when it comes to quality?

Is there a limit to what quality costs in to businesses in the catering and hospitality sector?

If I understand your question, then the answer is that it depends on an operator's liquidity, If you can afford to invest in kit that will add value to your business, or whose total cost of ownership might save you money over the coming years (I'm thinking environmentally-friendly kitchen kit), then good for you; but if you can't afford the capex, then you are probably better off buying cheap and cheerful ...
