Following up on a lead from Staff Canteen, we can confirm that Luke Holder, formerly of Lakeside Park Hotel and Spa (four stars, two rosettes) in Ryde, Isle of Wight, has replaced Alex Aitken at Lime Wood. This is a real shame for Alex who has been associated with this site for years. The Lime Wood website states that its restaurant is now called The Dining Room by Luke Holder.

It is has just been confirmed that Alex Aitken is to head the restaurant at the Christchurch Harbour Hotel in Christchurch, Dorset, previously occupied by Gary Rhodes. Operators of the hotel, the Harbour Hotel Collection decided to terminate Rhodes' restaurant as they wanted to have a local chef at the helm.

Alex emailed us on the 5th of Aug saying he was getting a new project that following Tuesday, but when we asked for more none was forth coming.
