Marco Pierre White is thought to be putting the finishing touches to a new kitchen reality show, entitled Marco's Kitchen Burn-out. The twelve celebrity contestants are rumoured to include Donna Air, Russell Grant, Lawrence Dallaglio and Kelvin MacKenzie. But is there room for another kitchen reality show?

Hi to all,

Hopefully I'll have more information on this as somebody I know was there at the filming on Monday.

Apparently Marco's kitchen burnout is a working title at yet TBC

Interested to hear from your contact. These shows always run at brakeneck speed but I guess there's a lot  of sitting around for the audience.

Spoke at length with my source, Hmmm not happy at all !!!!

3 kitchens (red, yellow & green I think) each manned by a celeb (and I use the word loosely) 2 Soap stars & Nancy d'lollipop.

The dining room is also divided into 3 sections ( corrosponding colours).

Basically the celebs cook the meals & they are rated by each diner on a scale of 1 to 4 thus ending up with a total, then deducted from this total are points which corrilate to how much time MPW had spent with each celeb.

The mains were Barnsley Chop, Pork chop, Steak (was going to be T-bone, but was crossed out on the menu & replaced with Sirloin) & whole plaice.

From what I've been told the main complaint from the diners was the food being under cooked or in some cases raw.

The quote for me was that my source couldn't believe how somebody who had been a great chef was being associated with something so bad.

It will be interesting to see how the final product actually turns out.

Eek! I'm thinking green peppers and red tomatoes ... I gather Raymond Blanc is back on TV in the coming weeks/months with a more educational series, which is probably a good thing.

Watched it last night & being a scouser (& a true Red) I could believe that the production team could be so insensitive to put that TW@T McKenzie on so close to the anniversary of Hillsboro - Respect to the 96 YNWA.

With regard to the programme, poor. It seems that there is a recurring theme of serving raw food.

Why did they not precook their chickens just prior to service or better still when the check came on? Surely if you start to cook a supreme of chicken when you've just sent the starters the punter is going to wait 20+ mins.

Seemed like carnage to me & I think that MPW now has to be careful with that & endorsing Bernard Mathews Turkeys he's decidedly looking like a sell out & a shadow of his former self.
