McDonald's has announced that it is to adopt MSC-certified white fish across Europe in a move that, on the face of it, looks like excellent news for sustainable fishing.

MSC seems to be a pretty stringent standard and it is the first time that a fast food firm of McDonald's size has committed to it.

Is this a step in the right direction? Or should McDonald's and the like be doing more?
