Way back in the day, we published a post (well actually it was our 3rd & we're upto over 40 now) about Albert Adria's new restaurant called D2 : D2 Post on Chef Hermes

Recently (well 2 days ago) we've heard that both the Adria brothers are planning to open a new restaurant together.

From AFP, Madrid:

World-renowned Spanish chef Ferran Adria on Friday announced he would open a new restaurant in Barcelona with his brother, although it would be less sophisticated than his emblematic eatery ElBulli.

"There will be a place to eat by Ferran and Albert Adria in Barcelona," he told the TV3 channel in Spain's northeastern Catalonia region.

The new establishment with his brother, a pastry chef, "will be a place to go with friends," the avant-garde chef said.

He gave no indication when it would open.

But he said it will have little in common with elBulli, which Adria announced earlier this year is to close in 2012 and then reopen as a non-profit foundation in 2014.

"The cuisine of elBulli will never leave elBulli," he said

Shouldn't worry to much, as I just spotted this on Eater.com

Ferran Adrià is somewhat of an indecisive man! First El Bulli was to close for two years, then it was to reopen as anon-profit academy for "advanced culinary study." The latest news is that it will hold "one long season" and not run according to its regular schedule (from June through December). Insteadaccording the New York Times, "Angelfter the last meal of 2010, on December 20, the restaurant would take a brief pause and then reopen on January 15, 2011, and remain open until the end of July."

Now getting a touch confused!

Confused

That is odd - they've probably been overwhelmed with bookings and have decided to do this for commercial reasons.
