Hospitality Action is asking restaurants to get behind the charity event of the year - Hospitality Action Week - by adding celebrity chefs' recipes to its menu.

Top chefs such as Nathan Outlaw of St Enodoc hotel and Great British Menus, Martin Burge of Whatley Manor, Andrew Fairlie of Gleneagles and National Chef of the Year winner Simon Hulstone of The Elephant in Tourquay have donated a series of recipes to help restaurants across the UK get behind the campaign.

"Nathan, Andrew, Simon and Martin run some of the best restaurants in the country and you could have one of their dishes on your menu this HA Week.  We're asking you to help the industry charity by featuring one of their recipes and donating a percentage of takings to HA," said Penny Moore, ceo of Hospitality Action.

Download the recipes from www.hospitalityaction.org.uk and feature one as a Hospitality Action Special on your blackboard or menu.

Other simple ways to get behind HA Week are:

  • Prize draw for a free meal: link up with local businesses to sell tickets. All you need to supply is the prize.
  • Auction your chef: give your customers the opportunity to host the ultimate dinner party by auctioning off your chef's skills for a night.
  • Posh cake sale: tempt your diners into a dessert (or seconds) by selling them a cake box to take it away in.
  • Add a pound to the bill: an easy way for diners to donate to Hospitality Action
