Radio 4's resident Rottweiler John Humphrys has been out on the streets of his native Cardiff in a special report for the Today programme on binge drinking. The report painted a pretty gloomy picture of the way young people - men and women - drink in pubs.
While he didn't come to any firm conclusions on what the causes of rising alcohol-related anti-social behaviour are, he did suggest that 24-hour licensing and 'cheap alcohol' were at the root of the problem. But there was no mention of 'front-loading' with cheap supermarket alcohol, nor seemingly any recognition that cracking down on problem town-centre venues might have a detrimental effect on community pubs.

Do you think the BBC got the report right? Or did it miss the point?
